Learning about Hive Grove

Hive Grove is a new Hive game that came out within the past month, and I learned about this game from @jongolson on this post. It was created by @shiftrox. It resembles the idle game from before, where we come back once a day to water trees. These trees give you Hive whenever you water, and you can also reduce the time for watering by having friends help.
Hive Grove

When you first play, you are given the free seed tree. This tree gives you 0.02 Hive per day when you water it.

It is in its first stage, and there is a bonus chance of extra rewards.

When you water, you can see the Hive being transferred to you, and the 24-hour cooldown starts. This cooldown can go down depending on friends helping you (1 hour per friend up to a maximum of 4).

You are given 4 plots, even if 1 is taken by that seed tree. You can buy additional plots using Hive, but I decided to support the game by buying two cherry blossoms.

Above, you can see the transaction log from the gam, and I did manage to get a bonus once. It just requires me to check in once a day, and I think that is fine.

To help others in watering, you can go to the Friends tab. I decided to just use the surprise me, and water some people before going off to do other things.

Finally, I'll touch on the shop tab where you can buy trees, land, and items. The items seem interesting, but I am not sure if it's worth the cost.
Conclusion
I think it's an interesting game, and I should be able to get back my initial investment so long as I show up every day. It's also a nice way to interact with other users on Hive. At worst, it just a few Hive down the drain.
What do you think of Hive Grove

I don't understand how this can be sustainable on the long term 🤔
It might not work out, but it's only like 20 Hive that I put in. I think I got around 0.4 Hive back, and in a month or 2, I should at least breakeven. It's very little effort, and the creator said its about interaction, with the returns being an additional benefit.
This is a great walkthrough. Thanks for the detailed breakdown with the transaction log. The friend-help mechanic to cut the cooldown is a clever way to get people interacting with each other's groves. I might have to try this myself, especially since it sounds like the investment can pay for itself if you're consistent. How long did it take you to pay back the cost of the cherry blossoms?
I think it will take 2 months or so to get back your investment or so. I haven't invested for long, and I didn't invest too much.
Good to know 2 months is a solid payback window if it stands up. May be worth revisiting once you have more skin in the game to see if that estimate changes with a bigger position.
I also start playing the game, it is quite nice and easy

Thanks for the shout-out about Hive Grove, my friend! I'm glad you looked into the game and got the hang of it. Of course, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask—I'm happy to clear anything up. We also have a Discord server; joining that might make it even easier to get answers.
Hive Grove is all about social interaction. Sure, there are some Hive payments that act as a sort of incentive, but that isn't the main focus. Those costs only apply if you really want to get more involved, earn a return, or something like that; however, if you just want to help others and socialize, that’s totally possible too.
Anyway, there’s a lot I want to add. It’s been a very "vibe coding" kind of process, so one thing that sometimes holds me back is wanting to include cool images instead of being stuck with just icons or the like—but I’m working on improving that. Aside from that, I have more ideas for implementing social actions and fostering interaction among players.
Yea. I can see that. I hope it works out well.
I'm giving it my all! Of course, the whole community has been giving me incredible support, and that has really helped me keep going! Thanks again.
The game is simple and straightforward making it a good investment for me
I don't expect it to earn much, but if things go well, I should at least make back the investment in 2 months or so.
Excellent, your grove is doing very well. What a success!
