Brawl Report #158: Completely wiped out in my actual fights

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners. 4 star brawls are rough as the teams tend to be stronger. I am still in the gold league gold foil matches, and it was bad this time around for both me and my guild.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and got 1 win. This time, there were 1 free win because 1 guild did not submit anyone. My rewards for the brawl were 1,905 merits and 34.471 SPS in the 4-star category. My guild ranked 68h place out of the 8 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots, and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. I didn't do so great, and my guild also did quite bad.

There were 6 that I lost. So, I included an idea of the match below and a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. The demoralize hurts because I was mainly using melee monsters.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. I lost because my opponent just had a faster and stronger lineup. The damage and speed were just too much for me to overcome.

You can find the third match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. I think the speed and level advantage gave my opponent the edge over me.

You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. I think my opponent's summoner gave him an edge over me because it increased his own Katrelba Gobson's attack by quite a bit.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. It was a magic only fight, and I was limited in my choices. My opponent could use up all his mana, and those cards were stronger than mine.

You can find the sixth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My opponent had quite a speed advantage over me and I couldn't do anything against his high melee damage boosted by his summoner.

Conclusion

Doing 7 fights for 1,905 merits and 34.471 SPS is a good reward for the effort. I didn't do so great this time around, and my guild didn't do so great either. I guess it was bound to happen at some point because my gold foil deck isn't that strong. It's too bad that I got completely wiped and the only win that I got was from a free win.
