Brawl Report #141: Another decent brawl

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners. 4 star brawls are rough as the teams tend to be stronger. I am still in the gold league gold foil matches and it was decent this time around. The free wins helped out quite a bit, but I didn't get completely wiped in my matches either.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and got 6 wins. There were 3 free wins this time because three guilds didn't submit a person for my brawl. My rewards for the brawl were 5,059 merits and 79.897 SPS in the 4-star category. My guild ranked 5th place out of the 10 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots, and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. I did great this time around, and my guild did great again this brawl.

Brawl fights

There were 3 that I lost and 2 that I won. So, I included an idea of the match below and a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. There wasn't much I could do with the level disadvantage and all those legendary cards. Kitty was also going to be an issue due to the heals and the speed increase.

You can find the second match here. I won this match because I had the stronger lineup. There was no level disadvantage, and I made good use of the melee monsters. Once my bloodlust monster started to get stacks, there wasn't much my opponent could do.

You can find the third match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. There wasn't much I could do with the level disadvantage and the repair monster there. I also think that Bear was quite the powerful monster when it has forcefield too.

You can find the fourth match here. I won this match because I had the stronger lineup. There was no level disadvantage, and I honestly don't know what my opponent was doing. He only had one monster capable of attacking at any point in time.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. There were some monsters on his side that had a higher level, and that let them attack first. So there wasn't much I could do when my low health monsters died so early on.

Conclusion

Doing 8 fights for 5,059 merits and 79.897 SPS is a good reward for the effort. I did decently this time around, and I am glad to win so many fights. My guild did decent this time around. The free wins worked out quite well, and I think it also helped out the rest of my guild as well.
