1st Hive Powerup Day of 2026 and Happy New Years

It's the first day of the new year and it's also Hive Power Up Day. It's the first day of the year, and the first HPUD of the year as well. It always feel nice to take part of Hive Power Up Day along with various others on the blockchain.

More information about Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) can be found at the January 2024 HPUD post by "@"traciyork. I don't think there are any rewards for doing so outside of the hivebuzz badge. There haven't been any prizes for a long while, but I still think it's nice to power up as a blockchain on the first of every month. There is still a little under 18 hours left for you to get your power-up in for that badge, and it is based on UTC time.

My current HP before powering up is 19,882 HP and I plan on powering up 10 HIVE this month. I haven't set any goals for this year yet as I am still trying to figure things out. The results of this can be seen in the picture below, and here is the transaction link.

Here is my latest update for the Saturday Saver's Challenge for 2025. I got all of my goals, but I did revise my LEO goal. It was a good end of the year.

Monthly Goals

Here I will set my goals for the month. Overall, I did achieve most of my goals, and my goals tend to be the same each month anyway. I reached my HP goal and blog posts, but I didn't manage to buy 10 LENM. It looks like I didn't manage to get many at all as I only got a small fraction of LENM. So I guess I'll have to increase the LENM that I am trying to buy. Either way, I will continue to increase my HP, and see how things go. My HBD will just continue to be used to stock up on more Hive while the prices are low.

January goals

I will use the monthly goals as usual, and I used what I had last month as a reference as my yearly goals have not been set.

1. 3 Blog Posts a week (Actifit does not count for this)
2. 19,700 HP
3. Buy 12 LENM

Conclusion

As usual, I am just doing my usual activities on Hive at night. It's always good to look back and make sure that my own goals are on track and that I am making decent progress. Showing up each day matters and it has been paying off. Happy New Years everyone and Happy HPUD.
