13k LEO reached and my final LPUD of the year
It's time for another LPUD and it was a nice chance to get some LEO delegations. However, it doesn't look like the delegations or prizes are happening anymore. Either way, I remember the 15th as a time to power up LEO, and I found it fitting to power up what I need for my revised goal of 13k LEO.
LEO Power UP Day
I participate in Hive Power Up Day each month and I am quite happy to see an LEO Power Up Day continue this month. At the start of the year, I made my 2025 yearly goals and that was to increase my LEO Power to 13.4k. In order to reach this, I need to stake on average 200 LEO a month, and I prefer to stake all of it during LPUD back at the start of the year. However, things have changed as LEO has removed inflation, and they have shifted their focus.
The changes to LEO have been quite substantial, as there are a few new tokens and a new chain where you can stake LEO for USDC rewards. I haven't touched much of the new chain, but I did buy a small amount of LSTR. I didn't participate in SURGE. There is just so much going on as I haven't been keeping up with things.
I don't see anything for an LPUD 2025 badge on Hivebuzz. After talking with a few people, I don't think there will be an LPUD badge this year. I also didn't see anything on the leogrowth page, so I won't bother people with the requirements for LPUD because I don't think there are any prizes.
LEO Power Up
I decided to power up 200 LEO this month because it is what I need to reach my revised yearly goal. It's too bad that there are no more prizes, but I did buy some LEO to make sure that I got to 13k LEO power goal. I am not sure what to do with my LEO. Should I keep it staked here even when the rewards seem so low, or should I be moving it over to the other chain for USDC rewards? It's hard to know the right thing to do, but for now, I'll leave it staked here on Hive.
Conclusion
Things have changed quite a bit, and it's been a while since I last made a post about LPUD. I missed last month even though I powered up, but I guess it doesn't matter as much as there are no LPUD delegations anymore. It does make sense that it got pushed aside because the new chain has been generating fees for people using the pool there. With the increase in price for LEO and the decreased rewards from author/curation, it just made sense to lower down my goal to 13k. I made sure to buy enough to hit the goal, and I will get that done this month. I'll re-evaluate what to do with LEO and figure out what to do next year for my goals.
Are you taking part in LPUD?

You should check if it's worth to move then for the usdc rewards, there should be data around, or at least numbers of who is doing it already
