Fun, Games & Heartfelt Moments: Our Bunhayag Adventure with the Kids!

It’s Saturday again—a beautiful day to be with the kids in Bunhayag, just like before, filled with laughter, joy, and the simple happiness of bonding together.
The weather today was beautiful. Even though I arrived a bit late in Bunhayag, we still managed to have our session, and I really loved the calm and refreshing ambiance it brought.

For my first task, I provided the first group with cut-up pieces of the memory verse, and their challenge was to arrange it correctly. This activity introduced our new lesson and served as its supporting verse.

This is the second group, who finished the task first and emerged as the winners. I’m truly glad they were able to figure it out, as the verse carries an important message about Jesus’ humility toward His disciples.

This was the second group—they were so close to getting it right, so I gave them a chance to finalize their answer.

We also played games, and since the place is a huge mountain surrounded by more mountains, hide-and-seek was perfect! This is Tyra—it was so funny because I found her right away. Her bright pink shirt instantly caught my eye!

While the other kids were busy having fun, Kylie was enjoying her own little moment, watching a video on my phone on YouTube.

And here they are—a quick snapshot before we enjoyed our snacks and as they excitedly prepared to claim their prizes and rewards.

At the end of our game, we went around the entire mountain to make sure everyone was accounted for. And of course, we took a selfie—a simple remembrance of today’s amazing journey with them.
I am deeply grateful to God for this opportunity—to have met these kids two years ago and to have them become part of my journey as a second-year Computer Science student. I’m not sure if I’ll still be able to spend as much time with them when I move on to my third year, which is why I truly cherish every moment I have with them. It means so much to me to connect with them—they hold a special place in my heart.
One of the kids shared that he will no longer be here in Bunahayag next Saturday, as he will be going to his mother’s place in Loay, Bohol. I felt a bit saddened by the news, but at the same time, I’m grateful that I was able to meet him and create wonderful memories together with him and the other kids.
That would be all thanks for passing by, appreciate your support from the bottom of my heart!
Spending time with kids and teaching them is truly enjoyable. There’s a different kind of happiness you feel when you go home especially when you bring even just a small snack. For them, it already means so much, and seeing their joy makes everything worthwhile.
