A Step Toward the Aisle of Memories: A Bridesmaid for the First Time!
Hola, everyone! Today’s story is about one of my most anticipated and awesome journeys—being a bridesmaid for the very first time.
A month ago, I received an invitation from Kuya Jacob, Leslie’s future husband. Jacob and I weren’t really close friends, but we knew each other. I met Leslie and even worked with her during a conference held in Camp Karis last June, and that’s where our friendship started.
Then, about a month before their wedding, I received an invitation to be one of their bridesmaids because they still needed one more. And yes—this was such wonderful news! Never in my life had I been invited to become a bridesmaid. I was so excited, and I still couldn’t believe it. One of my biggest dreams was finally coming true—to become a bridesmaid.
The wedding was scheduled on a Saturday, so by Friday afternoon we traveled to Camp Karis in Ubay, Bohol. The trip took around one hour. Finally, we arrived at the entrance. This is Camp Karis—“Karis” means Grace. It was truly by the grace of God that this camp was built, dedicated to being a place where young people can hear the Gospel and encounter the throne of God’s grace.
It was a good afternoon—thank God for the safe trip. And so, here we go, carrying our things and bringing them inside the place where we would stay for the night. I even took a 0.5 selfie, thanks to Ate Gina’s iPhone—hehe.
I also had the chance to tour around, walking and reminiscing in this beautiful camp area, where so many memories are worth remembering. While strolling, I even picked a guava and enjoyed eating it as I walked around.
After a while of strolling around, Nanay Ladia and Pastor Jose planned to go to McDo to buy dinner. When I noticed that they were about to leave, I quickly ran over and told them I wanted to come too—hehe. While waiting for our order, I took pictures of them as they ordered our food. We also took a group photo. After that, we went back and had our dinner in the main office. I felt so humbled and grateful for these moments. (By the way, Ubay, Bohol also has a McDo—and the fries, juice, rice, and chicken taste so good! I had such a wonderful dinner and a very good night)
After dinner, I was ready to settle down in our assigned room where the rest of the wedding party would stay. But before that, we visited the wedding venue—the session hall. And look what we saw… it was so beautiful! 😍 Simple yet elegant. I instantly fell in love with the design.
Of course, we took some group selfies—because how could we not? I adored the flowers and the decorations all around the venue. Along the aisle, there were memory verses on both sides, reminding us of how God designed marriage through love and the true characteristics of love.
Phew! What a beautiful night. As I roamed around, seeing how fantastic everything looked, I couldn’t help but feel even more excited for the big day to come.
Once upon a time, a night has ended and the day has come. The very anticipated day of Union between two hearts who loved each other. Thank God for a good weather
The four of us—actually, we were once food servers and even cooks during the conference, and that was the beginning of our story. As you can see, the bond we built back then has brought us here today to share this very special moment with Leslie.
We were about to have our breakfast so that we could prepare and settle down for the bridesmaids’ pictorial, as well as the photoshoot with the bride.
This is Me, I & Myself 😅 Most people said that this dress looked good on me, and I’m so happy to hear that. I love seeing myself wearing this beautiful favorite dress of mine. I guess I really do have a good taste in choosing a color that fits my skin 😁

And finally the moment we we're waiting for, they were officially married. As I witnessed their union, God reminded me how beautifully our best day with the person He prepared for us will come—if we just wait on His perfect timing.
So this is me on the aisle. As I look at this photo again, I can’t help but imagine myself walking down the aisle someday too. I think it must be the most wonderful feeling I could ever experience.
This was the only semi-formal photo we had with the bride and groom—just the two of us. We were in a bit of a hurry because we still had a Bible study scheduled at around 2 p.m., and we needed to travel for about an hour. Time passed by so quickly!

I don't want to go home yet because this place holds a very special place in my heart. That's why I still want to stay here for a while and enjoy the moment of being aroun but....
Other responsibilities are calling, and we need to hurry. Yet here I am, capturing this moment, keeping it close as a memory before we finally go home. Thanks to ate Gina's Iphone
Overall, my heart is happy, and I truly had a great day. The opportunity that was once just a dream has finally become a reality—something I used to only imagine, and now here I am, living it and enjoying every moment. Grateful for the chance, thankful for the people who believed in me, and blessed beyond measure. Today will always be remembered. 😊✨
To God be the highest glory.
Happy wedding and best wishes for your friend! I hope they have successful marriage, to surpass all the challenges in married life. I like the theme, purple! So elegant and perfect for the view and reception.
