It sounds like a special day for you, not only because of the celebration, but also because you had a little moment for yourself to enjoy, dress up, and feel confident . I admire your thoughtfulness and respect for your lady boss, even while finding a small way to express your own joy and personality when the opportunity came. It's also nice to hear how you took care of the children and made a delicious beef spaghetti for them, taking advantage of the chance to cook something they enjoy.
