Anthropic lost the DoD contract and is now the nr 1 app in the USA already for a few days.
So they have all free users the memory option for free, so that Claude becomes even better for you.

OpenAI was too eager and now they have a massive PR problem, while Anthropic got a lot of ex-ChatGPT users now switching to Claude.
In hindsight, this was a powermove from Anthropic
Anthropic's playing 4D chess here, turning that DoD loss into a user surge 🚀 Claude's memory feature is a game-changer, way smoother than ChatGPT's drama. Switching users love it tbh
