So far, the IPL tournament has been exciting. 66 games have been played so far.
4 more league matches remain.

The 19th edition of Indian Premier League also known as TATA IPL 2026 started on 28 March 2026. 10 teams competing for the IPL trophy.

Four more games left in the qualifing round.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is on the top, followed by Gujarat Giants (GT) on second and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on third place

Fourth place is still open. Three teams, Rajasthan Royals (RR), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are fighting for the fourth spot.

Upcoming - 67th Match (N), Hyderabad, May 22, 2026, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) play against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

This match is important as it will decide which teams finish at top 2 spots
RCB has to play for a win. Even if they lose, they need to make sure that it doesn't affect their Net Run Rate (NRR).

SRH to finish in the top two, batting first, will need to defeat RCB by 88 runs if they score 220 or by 87 runs if they score 200. If SRH is chasing, say, 150, SRH will need to win in around 11.1 to 11.3 overs. If they achieve this, SRH will have better NRR than RCB's NRR and SRH and GT will finish top two.

Once the league matches are over, the top four will play the next round.

Qualifier 1 - The top two teams will play the first qualifier. The winning team will go directly to the finals. While the losing team, will get another chance in qualifier 2, to play against the winner of the eliminator

Eliminator - The third and the fourth teams on the table, play the eliminator, knockout game. The winning team will play against the qualifier 1 losing team in the qualifier 2.

Qualifier 2 - knockout game. The losing team of the qualifer 1 and the winning team of the Eliminator will play. The winning team will go to the finals

Finals - The Qualifier 1 and 2 winning teams will play the finals.

The first two spots are important as the teams get two chances to qualify for the finals
