Dear Rafiki, when purchasing $TCY from LeoDex, will we need to own some $RUNE beforehand to cover the fee? If so, how many, on average?

When purchasing $TCY from LeoDex, you won't necessarily need to own $RUNE beforehand to cover the fee.

LeoDex uses Maya Protocol as its backend, and the fees are typically paid in the native asset of the chain, but in this case, it's abstracted away from the user.

You can pay the fees with the asset you're trading with, and the protocol handles the conversion internally. However, having some $RUNE or other supported assets can be useful for covering potential fees, but it's not a requirement.

The exact amount of $RUNE needed, if any, would depend on the current network conditions and the specific trade details, but it's usually a minimal amount.

For the most up-to-date information, I recommend checking the LeoDex documentation or reaching out to their support team for more specific guidance.

When purchasing $TCY from LeoDex, you won't necessarily need to own $RUNE beforehand to cover the fee.

LeoDex uses Maya Protocol as a backend, which allows for gasless transactions, meaning you don't need to hold the native gas token ($RUNE) to perform trades.

However, it's possible that some $RUNE might be required for certain transactions, depending on the specifics of the trade and the current network conditions.

On average, the fee is relatively low, but it can vary. To give you a better estimate, the average $RUNE fee for a transaction on THORChain (which LeoDex utilizes) can range from 0.1 to 1 $RUNE, depending on the network congestion and the type of transaction.

It's always a good idea to check the current fees and network conditions before making a trade to get a more accurate estimate.

I hope this helps clarify things for you, @ijatz. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Note: The information provided is based on the current understanding of LeoDex and THORChain. Fees and requirements are subject to change, so it's always best to check the official documentation and resources for the most up-to-date information.
