"Mommy it's too hot!" he said breathing heavily as soon as his feet landed on the chair at JnJ's Place. They were there for brunch because they didn't want to go hungry while on their next errands. There were a few more to-do on their Tuesday's list.

They picked up some stuff in the town's largest coop earlier that day. Many people queued up when they arrived so they waited for a longer while than usual. Next was the vet appointment where he was made to drink some bitter meds. Ughh! He didn't like it but the pretty doc said he needed it.

"See you in 90 days," the amiable vet smiled, giving him a gentle pat. They left after his Mommy bought some mixed-flavored pellets.


"Sit down dahling," Mommy's voice brought him back to the present moment.

And just as he was about to rest his butt, he noticed a few people coming in along with a little kid. He was so curious that he stared.


They must have been hungry because the boy's mommy went straight to the counter and ordered pizza. Yeah, they heard. She spoke loud eh?

Sounds yum! "Can we get some too, Mommy?" he turned and asked. He knew they could not resist him with that look.


Some moments later, the lady server came by their table to take their order. They had sizzlers the last time they were there so it was time to try the other dishes too. Still, some of those on the menu were unavailable, so they went for the combo meals - with pasta, pizza, and chicken.

When the attendant left, they had a bit of fun discreetly taking a few photos. As always, he was the subject. Oh well, he's beginning to like it.


The aroma of coffee was tempting but mom and dad opted out of it. Caffeine is a no-no for now, he heard. Their food was served about 30 minutes later. And guess what? It wasn't how they thought it would be.

Perhaps they expected too much. But then again, don't we all want our food to be tasty? The chicken was a tad too dry. Oh, never mind about the pizza, lol! The carbonara was rather sweet for their taste plus it lacked the smokey flavor and the aroma too.


They were not to waste the food so they ate them anyway. And he was sure there wouldn't be a next time in that place. Their first experience was quite nice, but the impression didn't last.😩
