How to Make it into the Zealy Leaderboard

Most of us may already know that the Onboarding Campaign by Leo on Zealy is ongoing and will end very soon. As per initial information, there will be monthly campaigns until the end of December 2024 with different prize pools.

Personally, this is the third (or maybe the 4th?) Zealy campaign that I am participating in if I remember correctly.

• The very first was the invite-only where select Leo Squires tested Crew 3 (that was the platform's name before and it rebranded to Zealy). But I can't recall if I was there. I must really be getting old, lol!

• The next campaign was when users with 1k Leo Power were allowed to join the 2-week Feedback Sprint.

• The third and the longest yet, Threads Adoption Campaign that ran from May until June where there was a prize pool of $10k-worth of LEO where Underlock got the top spot and was rewarded with 18k+ LEO if I'm not mistaken. I, on the other hand, managed to be in the top 15 on the leaderboard and my prize was 1,800 LEO.

• And then this current campaign. One that aims for our collaboration as Hive users to rally, welcome, and onboard newcomers to the blockchain. The campaign will end tomorrow, the 3rd of October so I know, the competition is intense. We want a share in the prize pool!
  
  

While I was not able to rank the highest in the previous campaigns, I did learn some things and would like to share them today. These are mostly common sense but somehow, some people tend to make things complicated (I'm no exception, haha!)

So how then are we going to make it easier for ourselves to get through the missions with less friction or rejected submissions?

❇️ Read the mission instructions thoroughly

Read. Read. Read. Understand what is being asked then do it correctly.

We tend to rush and skim-read. That's the very reason why we miss out on the details. I'm also guilty of this and I can't help but laugh at myself whenever I realize my mistake. The instructions are clear and simple. There are even guides on how to do them but we insist on doing it our way and we whine when our submissions get rejected, lol!

I believe the reviewers are considerate but they can't be all the time. Don't be mad if your submission gets a "FAIL" review. Instead, check and find out what you did wrong then correct it.

❇️ Do the expiring missions first

Check the quest board from time to time and yes, attend to the expiring missions before any other things.

This is quite tricky though because except for the usual daily missions (GM and Daily Replier) which reset at a known time, some tasks come out by surprise. One can easily miss them especially when they come during the nighttime (and we are snoring).

There isn't much we can do about this. The good thing is that there had been some adjustments so surprise and fast quests only happened once, right?

Personal Thoughts

These campaigns initiated by Leo are a good way to make us get involved and make our contribution (no matter how little they may seem) to the growth of the blockchain.

While most of the initial quests have been simple and easy (for some boring), the final ones got a lot more challenging. Not so long ago, some people were already complaining and wanting to have more difficult missions. Well now, they got it. The quests have gotten more intense. Let us see how it's going to turn out.

The thing is, there is no single strategy that works for all. While one may work well with another, it may not be for us. So we need to find out for ourselves what's best and employ them on our own accord.

But again, we must not forget to read and understand what is being asked and then do it accordingly. This will save us time and effort.

The idea is to enjoy, have fun, and learn along the way.
