Growing in the Den [1st LPUD of 2024]
Aah, it's Monday and it's LPUD so we jump right into it because why not? Apart from doing it to support the initiative and getting the badge (Jongo says he's a sucker for badges and that goes the same with me), we do want to grow our stakes, and what better way to do it than with the community.
So yep, did mine early in the day, 150 LEO each on both accounts has been sent to work. Nope, it's not just about staking and leaving them, but doing what's needed too - and that is to curate of course!
These are not big numbers but still translate to growth which is what we want. Today's staking brought the combined Leo Power to 26,643 LP (23,379+3,264). Slow yet steady.
I did mention previously that I'm staking some $LEO every day and I'm now thinking about doing it for the whole year. The thought also made me wish that Hivebuzz would have a badge for daily LEO staking similar to the PUM concept. Just a thought but it wouldn't be bad if it happens.😅
Another thing that came to mind today was the LeoAds. I bet most of us are waiting for it after the announcement that it will start distributing rewards on January 1st but for some reason, none has happened yet. There must be an issue or something and I wonder if there had been any update about it. But I guess we will just have to wait and while we do, let's continue to build.
Earning LEO
Unlike last year, I have not been buying any LEO from the market these recent weeks. My HP and HBD Savings goal is keeping me from doing it. The good thing is that we can earn the token in certain ways.
How?
I think most of us know that already but if you're new and reading this, here are some of them:
1️⃣ By threading and publishing content via the INLEO frontend. Well, at least that's what I understood from Khal's reply anyway.
It's not guaranteed of course. Curation here is a tricky thing and you'd be lucky if your content gets discovered and captures the eyes of the curators who have Leo Power. It's kind of a hit-and-miss, especially for long-form content. It's easier on threads though as many other users tend to upvote them and the micro-earnings can add up.
So if you are like me and don't want to think about what to post on threads, we can share news headlines and use the hashtag #newsonleo. The concept was started by Taskmaster and anyone can jump in.
Also, note that publishing your content (even to other communities) via the InLeo UI will give you the chance to earn evergreen rewards someday.
2️⃣ Another effortless way is by delegating Hive Power to @leo.voter as it pays delegation rewards daily in the form of LEO. My delegated HP (1k) earns me a little over 2 LEO each day. I think it will drop as the price of LEO increases.
3️⃣ The third would be by curating content (threads and posts in the INLEO community). You can earn LEO as curation rewards, that is if you have Leo Power. If you don't, then perhaps it's a good time to start accumulating and staking some.
These are just the three ways that I know of and employ. There might be other ways and it would be nice if someone shared them so we could learn too.
