A Bit About Life With Our Furry Kid

Whew! A day older and I'm very grateful as always. I suppose everybody is thankful in each waking moment, yeah?

It's a sunny and warm Tuesday for us here which is a wonderful shift from the past few days of dreary, breezy, and cold weather. It feels like summer hence the flower photo above, hehe!

And while it is a perfect time for some outdoor activities and such, my little guy is probably in dreamland as he enjoys his peaceful rest after being up in the wee hours of the night. So who would have the heart to disturb such a baby? 😅

He woke me up just when I almost went into slumber after silencing my alarm which was set at 5 minutes to 2 am for the RWA show. I was dozing off without realizing it until I felt his warm little tongue licking on my nostrils, lol! For some reason, he seemed to know I had something to do so he made sure I wouldn't go back to my snooze.

But yes, every time the Farmboy is not around, this sweet soul stays in bed with me. And so we got up after a while and spent hours listening to the Ice Breaker show and snacking on some Ube bread. He seems to have learned my bad habit of nibbling food during the night. Add to that, I made the grave mistake of feeding him with a spoon some time ago. Since that day, he wouldn't touch his bowl until we spoon-feed him.

It's funny you would say and it is so innocently cute too when he turns his back from his food and all we can do is laugh and then patiently feed him anyway. He is simply irresistible especially when he gives us that look.

"Bad mom" the husband teased when he discovered what I did. He wanted me to make the little guy unlearn being fed with a spoon but I have not been able to figure out how to do it. He simply won't budge an inch even when we serve his favorite food. I realized that the things we taught him during his first month with us stuck with him and that they seem to have already become part of his personality and temperament. So I guess we should be mindful of what we say or do :)

But yes, it's a wonderful experience to have this sweet little guy in our home. Things have not been the same since he arrived. I wouldn't have thought he would bring changes to our lifestyle and be an added joy to the family too.

Meanwhile, the husband was suggesting we get another one - a Havanese breed he says, but I still have my reservations. It feels like giving Anyeong a brother too soon. It's not a bad idea of course so he can have a playmate aside from us, but not just yet...

Or maybe until I figure out how to make him eat on his own again, lol!

Anyhow, happy new day, frens! Hope life is treating you awesomely (or should I say, hope you are treating life well)😉

Wow, Aneyong is such a cute baby, you will be spoon-feeding him now and then😆, I think when he has a younger brother he might unlearn that bad habit😄😄 or what do you think?

Haha, we have to spoon-feed him every meal 😂 The husband blames me for doing it in the first place haha.

I feel he will be seeking more attention when he gets a brother 😅

!LOLZ the licking part is not my favorite also. But that is the fastest way to get you awake.

My wife rescued a weak stranded little dog a few months ago, now he is doing so well,
but I have a problem with her barking, chewing and also her licking. hahah

It's so nice that you rescued that little one. Hope she's not chewing your slippers. Haha. My pup loves to chew on towels and anything he sees, lol!

The look is critical 😅. Explain the meaning of the look is not so easy. It can be good and bad anything 🤣 depends on mind 😅.

I also think it's not a bad idea either to bring another playmate.

I would have been so scared to have a dog’s tongue on my nostrils
It looks cute though but I have phobia for dogs

He's a sweet little one. I wonder why you have a phobia. Were you bitten by a dog before?

I often shy away from dogs, especially the big ones because of an unpleasant encounter with a mad dog many years ago.

I was not but a friend of mine has been bitten by a dog before

The experience can be really scary. I was 15 when a dog chased me and got me on my elbow. Luckily, I only had scratches on my skin because I was wearing a coat but the phobia was real.

Look at that little face! Anyeong is so cute, sis 😍
Having a furry one at home is so much fun and as you say, they fill the house with joy. But if you are careless they enslave you, lol. You have to get him to eat on his own again. Maybe he will if he stays home alone for a while. If you're not around, he might not feel he has to have you there to pamper him, hehe.

Haha thank you sis and you are right, it feels different with him around.

But if you are careless they enslave you, lol.

This is exactly what my cousin told me some weeks ago and I must confess this lil darling is making me one, lol! I can't even leave him for 5 minutes without him crying haha. The husband often reprimands me to not spoil him so much.

Haha, switch ba ng weather :) Malamig na din dito. Madalas naka-on ang heater sa loob especially sa gabi and early morning.

Oo, bilis ng araw. Before we know it, new year na and then summer na ulit.

I don't even know why I don't like dogs. I have none in my house, yet I breed rabbits, goats, and chickens. I'm afraid it might bite my kids.

Sounds like you have a fear of dogs :) It's nice though that you have rabbits and others. Are you breeding them for sale?

Haha, little character indeed! Maybe get the second one and then he will learn to eat by himself quickly otherwise the other dog eats his food :) #problemsolved

He looks adorable btw!

Haha yeah. He's wicked, lol! We are doing everything to make him eat by himself but he still chooses to starve haha. Not sure if I want another soon :)

Stubborn little thing, right? lol

You'd think he'd pick his battles carefully but starving over eating himself, oof. I bet you will get busy if puberty hits and hormones fly around haha

Yes, lol! We just have to laugh it out and truth, that would surely come. Hope I can keep up with him when it comes 😅

He is just the most gorgeous little fluffball! I cannot imagine a dog being spoonfed, that's going to be a hard habit to break, he'll think his Mommy is being nasty to him ;)
I like how you say you're one day older, thought for a minute you had your birthday the day before ;)
Enjoy your little fluff baby @ifarmgirl!

Thank you, Lizelle. One day, I suddenly had that thought of feeding him with a spoon and didn't realize he was going to hold on to it, haha! And yes, it's tough to make him return to eating on his feeding tray or bowl. Guess I will have to live with it, lol!

I like how you say you're one day older

It feels nice to appreciate and live each day as it comes :)

Many thanks again and I wish you a lovely weekend. ♥️
