Why I Stopped Believing in Work-Life Balance in Twenties

after doing night shifts from last couple of months, 3 months to be more precise I've learnt that no workplace deserves your peace and health. No amount of salary can actually justify that and it is better

do the 9 to 5 like a sane person than a dead soul working night shifts. But I still somehow had a good time doing night and I intentionally choose it due to summer like imagine going out in this heat during daytime?

So I caved in and low-key did night shifts like a boss, still would've been doing nights but god forbid man has other priorities as well.

The Worklife balance isn't what I seek

At this point I've learnt that you shouldn't be looking for the worklife balance, it makes no sense at all

While you're in your 20s, do whatever it takes and overwork yourself, have less time for sleep and more time for work

But if you started the search for a worklife balance in your twenties you're doing it wrong. The balance is something that would sort of come to you while you're working harder to figure out and make most out of your twenties.

So If you're doing one job, you could do two as well in the same time. Continue the side hustle or something but do those 2 jobs to survive in this economy or save something otherwise there's no way to do it.

Listen to no one at work

I've spent months at night shifts and have learnt that you don't need to do work for anyone or to be seen but for yourself and your needs

Imagine doing something someone said except manager? Could never be me. They be hating me because I don't do people favours and mind my own business

Like I'm good doing my work, do your work yourself I'm in no mood of giving you favour or helping out over something? Go figure it out yourself.

And people have been pissed about it all the time, I don't care cause I'm happy in my lane doing what I'm supposed to and the management seems to be happy so who cares about the rest? They ain't paying me, company is so that's the whole point.

When you start doing things for yourself and set some certain boundaries in workplace, you'd do just far better and good than anyone else trying to keep up with people.

Leave when you find a better option

No one is coming to spoon-feed you a better opportunity and a job, so it is on you to find one and make sure you get those opportunities other people are lazy to find

By putting up real work and going out seek for jobs while you're doing one. Better not stay in the same place or company

Always search for an option that is somehow better and more rewarding. You could always find one, if you're willing to and as of now that is my plan.

Be willing to quit tomorrow if you've a good opportunity, don't be loyal to these jobs cause they won't think twice before laying you off and replacing with someone else. That's all for today, would love to know what's your thoughts on this in the comments.

that's all folks.
