The Promises We Break and the People We Become

I can't remember breaking any promise because I had the intention to do it so but that happens somehow.

starting with the fact that I've made and broken promises to myself which is quite difficult to accept cause you want to gaslight yourself into thinking you never did anything wrong, it's what most people do but here we'll accept it and move on.

The Art of Breaking Promises

First of many promises I've made to myself was back in the days when I was a kid and made this promise when I'll become an adult I'm going to become a doctor

Never went to that side once I grew up I had different interest and a way different lifestyle to keep up with anything like medical

So after that there was another promise that I'd grow up and gonna have a lifestyle of what any rich person have these days but fate has decided something else for that little kid who had no idea but still somehow I'm chasing those dreams and trying to keep up with that promise.

When life made you break that promise

Sometimes we make promises in love and I've been through that part of life when you knew you've found the love you're looking for

And it was all sunshine and rainbows so you make promises to yourself and that other person you'll end up together it'll be going to be perfect with each other

But as your life throws something at you you'll walk away from that person cause you don't want her to have that kind of lifestyle

And when after years when you see that person you left living a better and happy life you feel better about breaking that promise even though you've been feeling guilty about it from years and kind of punishing yourself by not moving on it all starts to make sense.

The time when you made promises to God

The amount of times we have made promises to God is just insane if we remember all of it which is impossible

Can you even remember that you promised god to not lie about anything but you lied the moment you had to save yourself a trouble? I guess we all have been through it.

Everyone of us have made promises to not do any sins but we ended up doing it again and again.

We still go to God whenever we're in difficult situations cause we believe in him and forgiveness so I guess every promise we break just tells we're imperfect and can't control everything as we want to.
