From Soul to Banana: The Decline of Meaning in Modern Art

Nowadays Art is becoming boring and meaningless as compared to how it used to be back then. Every artist used to think a lot while making any of those arts, he used to pour his soul and thoughts into a art and that was meaningful in all ways.

But now the bar is too low that even if you remove your shoe and put in the middle of art museum stand there and take a snap of that shoe, there will be people waiting in queue to take photos of that shoe cause they think it's the "modern art" of 21st century.

Banana on Wall with Tape is today's Modern Art

It was about couple years ago when I first heard about a banana on wall with tape is introduced as an art to public

And just recently someone set a foolish example and that someone isn't any other than Justin sun - since he bought that so called art for whopping $6.2 million

It was clearly to get the attention and he's been trying to show up in headlines since trump won election so I think he's trying to become "SBF of trump era".

Anyways, the banana Art has no meanings in my perspective and any sane human with common sense knows that was pathetic to even introduce to public but lucky artist made millions so it'll get worse now

There will be countless more meaningless Arts

I won't be surprised if there's more meaningless arts like someone introducing their farts as an art being sold in millions or even shit can be sold as art

As we're in 21st century and there are plenty of walking clowns between humans.

My only complaint is to those who are spending money on these stuff and giving other people chance to bring more of these insanity as they're getting inspired by banana art

I miss the time when Art was about finding Meaning

Back in the old times artist used to pour their wisdom or knowledge into arts that was found incredible by the people

And people used to purchase those arts because they found meaning.

Everyone used to have a different or similar opinion on the painting cause it was deep, until artist comes out and gives a proper explanation what he thought while making that art - everyone just speculated at their own.

That was the reason why becoming artist wasn't easy in the past. Taking admissions in the art university wasn't easy. Everything is changed now because anyone can claim to be artist on social media which they're not and shouldn't be called as artist, cause they've no idea what it took to become one.

Wrapping Up...

Only good thing about today's art is that there's meaning in the movies, songs and tons of other artist who still draws painting with their hands and illustrates their imagination.

Unlike people who will put Banana on the wall, it's just setting bars too low for the future artists.
