From Groceries to Gadgets: The Highs and Lows of Trading Experiences

Nowadays in this inflation whenever I had to get groceries I don't go to shops or supermarket because that's not the best way of buying these things

There's a way you can get groceries and save money that's why I always prefer the traders that sells these things for wholesale prices.

They don't sell anything at the same price retailers purchase from the supermarket or shop in town so as consumer of products I make contact with these traders every once in a while and remember couple of good and bad experiences.

The Best Encounter With Trader While Purchasing Groceries

The first thing I always do whenever I go for groceries is to make a list on my phone and next thing is obviously go to wholesale shop which is like two streets away from home

I can go to market and purchase from local shop with same price for every retailer

Or can get discount on every item I get from the wholesale shop

And I decided to go to wholesalers, I started adding groceries to cart and when it was about time to make the bill

I asked for the price of each product like 5kg rice bag is about 1300PKR there while it cost over 1350pkr on local shop so it's like 50rs saved on one.

While it's same with everything you purchase like orea biscuit pack is going to cost you 270pkr from wholesale with 20 biscuits... Meanwhile on shop it cost about 30rs each pack, so retailers sell one box for 600.

So it's like a hack into grocery purchasing and I advise everyone to prefer wholesale shops for groceries instead of supermarket or shops - in short don't buy at retail price when you can get it on wholesale.

The fact that people at wholesale will deal way better than one at supermart is insane, I don't find that much crowd because It's mostly on first days of month - so I either buy before end of year or in the second week of new month.

The worst Trading experience?

Couple of days ago my earbuds stopped working again and I had to visit shop for repair and I was with mom, she was doing her shopping while I said I'll go get it fixed

So I was in little hurry and the person said it'll cost "500" PKR and I just gave him earbuds, asked to do it quick

It took 1 minute, he just opened earbuds box and that magnet was misplaced because it fell from my hand and that's why it wasn't charging

image is mine.

That guy just moved magnet back to it's place and it was charging

The moment I realised he didn't gave me fair price for the fix, basically overcharged me a lot

Tried negotiating but it was late cause negotiations time was when he gave price... anyways I knew the way he fixed it, I asked him if it didn't work or stopped working again I'm gonna pay nothing and still you'll fix it.

The next day it wasn't charging earbuds again and decided to visit that shop, got it fixed again with the same amount I paid and he was hesitant to do that

But the same evening after getting it fixed, exactly the same issue happened again and went again at that shop - he was pissed and was asking to pay 300 more

I was like you overcharged me once and that was it.. you made a commitment so get it done, after a lot of argument he gave up and fixed it...not that worst experience but still it was painful at first paying more but got balanced later.
