Alive & Thriving ThankfulThursday : Travel While You Can || AATYr7 || Prompt A Day 😊

Perfect time for me to express being extra grateful that I was able to get out of my usual routine and experience again more of the world out there. On my last post I shared about the Palawan Underground River experience. After that we waited a bit at the travel office for the next part of the tour. We were to take the night van for transfer to El Nido, Palawan. I was told it would take five to six hours to get there. We reached the homestay around midnight, so we just headed to the room to rest for the adventure for the next morning.

Overcast sky as we headed to board our boat for the island hopping adventures for the day. Apparently at that time there was a typhoon crossing somewhere north of Palawan. Well, I'm still thankful that we got to enjoy some dry time before we encountered really heavy rains as we were about to get to our last two destinations for the day. We had to take cover at some cove and waited it out. In the end, we decided not to counter the force of nature and choose safety first.

It's the first time that I've ever tried kayaking. 😆 I'm not much of a swimmer so this is not one of the activities I've been dreaming of, but I'm super thankful to have tried it and well, survived it too. I unlocked a new skill. 😅 The waters in El Nido are so clear. It's actually perfect for snorkeling which my daughter did a lot of. You'll see the shots she took on her video.

Everything still feels like a dream, but I did record some shorts while I was there so it was all for real. 😂 The beach! I missed it for a long time.. I got to enjoy a lot of beaches in El Nido. This was the first day in El Nido but the third day of our Palawan adventure.

I'm reminding myself to limit the use of someday when setting goals and writing action plans. 😆 Clearly there are tasks that can not be done right away, so I've learned to break them down into smaller activities for easy completion. Travel dreams, however, are another matter. They entail costs so yeah I'm also guilty of saying someday. My daughter and I dreamed of this tri-city Palawan tour. I'm glad our someday became a reality. 🙏❤️💡

Amazing how there's only one week left in July. Oh boy, the seventh month is coming to an end. Am I ready for the ending of another year? 😄 one day at a time... I've still lots of catching up to do with daily tasks and chores. I will get there.

I'm back at working on these affiliate sites daily. I'm near the $7 goal for LL. Overall, I'm aiming to reach another payout from the site.

Another weekend is coming for us all. I still have a bit of vacation hangover at this time, but that's fine. I'm in no hurry to jump back to reality. 😅 Wishing you all an advance happy weekend... ta-tah! 👋
