Alive & Thriving Goals Monday : A Day of Multiple Mini Victories 👏 || AATYr6 || Prompt A Day 😊

O hey, it's Monday and a local holiday due to local elections happening today. I mentioned it last week, and I'm happy to say I've had more than a week of prepping for this walking day. Although it's a work holiday, I still wake up the same time and do pretty much the same morning chores daily. I find it better to keep to task except on Sundays when I can wake a little later than usual (usually thirty minutes or so later). 😝

The voting center is the Pedro Guevara Elementary School that Google says is 550 meters or seven minutes of walk. I think it took me a little longer as I do walk with a cane. I was initially advised to go to the priority polling place for senior citizens and PWD's. When I got there, I was shocked that the line was too long. 😒 The lady at the door advised me that if I could go directly to my precinct, I might get to save more time. Why not? I think I can manage, thankfully. I learned it's in the adjacent building and on the second floor only. Easy peasy I could do it.

On the way there, a lady who was behind me commented on how great is my perseverance in getting to the voting room. That's actually my translation. I remarked it's for the love of country that I go out and vote. 😁 I do pray only qualified and deserving candidates get elected. 🙏❤️💡 (Fat chance of that happening. I'm a skeptic now. But I do my part. What can I say? I refuse to give up. That's the rebel in me still hanging on for good and positive change in my country.) 🤞🍀 Inshallah! I'm thankful that folks in my voting room were considerate and let me through without needing to fall in line at all. Whew!

The above photo is on the main grounds of the school. I took it as I headed out to the exit. It took me less than thirty minutes to complete the process. Then I walked to DALI Grocery that's 210 meters from the voting center. I bought some treats and needed items and headed home.

That's my first victory in the day.

I could have easily given up on going to the voting center, but deep inside, I know I couldn't just give it up. I'd be happier when I know I have done my part for the good of my country. It's the best I can do. In a way, I'm glad I have not given up on myself too. It's not easy to lose one's mobility as I could do so many more things before, esp. when Mom was still around. I must admit it got me down for a few years, but I'm glad that something inside me decided not to totally give up. For the year, I'm committed to doing my best to get better at walking around and doing more things for myself (esp. buying my own stuff). 😜

I've missed a few days of posting and so far have taken two days off during the weekend. It's for my rest and recharge. 😆 Plus, I'm glad I'm able to balance online and offline tasks (just as I wish). Slow and steady growth is fine by me. I'm here for the long haul so I try not to spread myself too thin. One task at a time. That works well for me. I get to focus and give it my best shot. Planning, scheduling, budgeting.. just some tasks I get to do more offline. I need it esp. these days. I'm actively playing rising star game but I keep tasks simple and just do missions mostly. I know I need to grow my card stash too for more fans to continue doing the millionaire mission daily. I'll get there. I have a goal of reaching 2K cards on hand. I think I have around 1.6K at the moment. As for overall Hive goal, I aim to reach 15K HP, 200 HBD, 75K AP (staked & delegated). It's a slow journey, but it's moving forward.

The second part of my mini victories happened after lunch. The neighborhood mall opened up around noon time. I went there after feeding the kitties and guinea pigs, having my lunch, and getting enough rest from my morning steps. (I did complete more than 3.3K steps from my morning run.) I had to go as my newly purchased reading glasses (one month old) suddenly broke one arm a couple of days back. I had to tape it so I could use it esp. when I voted. 😅 Thankfully, there's a one-time replacement policy so I didn't need to pay for anything. Whew! My reading glasses are so valuable and I do take good care of it. I pray this time around it will last long. 😒 Then I ordered take out from KFC (got the kitties fun shots for treats) and treated myself to Matcha Tokyo Cafe.

Matcha salted cream and matcha red bean basque cheesecake have grown on me and I like them a lot. 😅 It's my reward for getting myself to go out and do the tasks I needed. 😉

I've been pretty consistent in tracking my steps from Friday - Sunday. Some days I'm more energetic than others so I do more. If not, I take my time and do a little less. It's important I get to rest when I feel my lower back or hip hurting. That helps me keep going later on. My short term goal is to be able to do at least 2K daily. One goal at a time.

I actively work on these affiliate sites daily. I've reached $2 on LL now. My focus is to keep reaching the payout limit.

All righty, I'm ready to wrap things up tonight. I feel I need the rest after a really productive day. I'm thankful. 🙏❤️💡 It's back to work again tomorrow. Five more days of work coming. I need the energy. Have a fantastic week ahead! Nighty night from Manila. Ta-tah! 👋
