These are the lineups for Barça-Valencia for Matchday 4 of La Liga.

Hi community!

Flick has tweaked the starting eleven considerably compared to the last match in Vallecas against Rayo Vallecano.

Barça's lineup held many unknowns for tonight's EA Sports League Matchday 4 match against Valencia. Flick had to make open decisions across virtually every line and, almost certainly, make changes in defense, midfield, and attack in the season's official home opener.

In this unusual setting of the Estadi Johan Cruyff, with a capacity of just 6,000, Barcelona will be looking for their third win of the season after two victories against Mallorca and Levante and a draw in a lackluster match in Vallecas against Rayo Vallecano.

Valencia, for their part, arrive in Barcelona (Sant Feliu de Llobregat, specifically) having collected four points out of a possible nine and without any injuries. José Luis Gayà returns to Carlos Corberán's squad after missing the last match against Getafe due to suspension. The Valencia side is looking to make their mark in Catalonia and take advantage of Lamine Yamal's very serious absence.

Lamine himself has caused a rift between Barça and the RFEF after Flick spoke out at Saturday's press conference, harshly criticizing the national team for its handling of the Rocafonda star, who is currently on indefinite leave. One of the biggest unknowns, precisely, was who would fill his void on the pitch. Logically, Raphinha would move to the right wing, despite the fact that, on paper, Roony Bardghji is Lamine's 'official' backup. But since this is the Swede's first call-up, Flick is keeping him as a substitute.

Another big doubt lay in the center of defense. Cubarsí and Araujo were substitutes in the last competitive match, and it remained to be seen whether the Heidelberg coach would opt for the pairing again or keep Christensen and Eric, or one of both, and field a new duo. With Iñigo out, a pairing still needs to be consolidated.

Thus, Barça's lineup for the clash at the Johan is as follows: Joan Garcia, Koundé, Eric, Cubarsí, Gerard Martín, Casadó, Pedri, Fermín, Rashford, Bardghji and Ferran.

For its part, Valencia will start with the following eleven: Julen, Foulquier, Tárrega, Diakhaby, Copete, Gayà, Santamaría, Javi Guerra, Diego López, Danjuma and Hugo Duro.

See You soon!
