Pablo Torre-Barça: departure on good terms.

Hi community!

The Blaugrana club doesn't want to lose him, and neither does he.

They'll extend his contract, which ends in 2026, and then loan him out; if not, a sale with an affordable buy-back option.

Pablo Torre (22) is still active. The Barça attacking midfielder has competition in the Under-21 European Championship until at least June 17th, and depending on the performance of the Spanish national team, he could delay the start of his vacation for a few more days. In the meantime, Barça and his representatives are trying to resolve his future. The attacking midfielder would like to remain in Hansi Flick's squad but is aware that he won't get many minutes. He is clear that he will have to leave, and the solution lies in joining the Blaugrana club.

The Cantabrian has one more season on his contract, and Barça has drawn up a plan with a player they highly value. At Camp Nou, they want to offer him a contract renewal to keep his future under control. The idea is a loan to a club at the highest possible level that would allow him to continue competing at the national and European levels. Pablo Torre is in favor of an extension but isn't a big fan of a loan because it's not a very advantageous scenario. Clubs tend to prioritize players they own. The alternative is a sale with an affordable purchase option. In any case, the player prefers to first secure a manager's trust and then decide what formula is most appropriate.

Pablo Torre accepts that there are many players in his position in the squad. Olmo, Gavi, Fermín, and Pedri are blocking his progression because they can fill his position. If there weren't overbooking, the Cantabrian would have continuity. Flick believes he is a player with very good performances and a wealth of technical and tactical talents. The German coach has already told the board that he is satisfied with his professionalism, performance, and demeanor.

Talks will begin shortly. The player, who signed for Barça from Racing Santander in June 2022 for €5.5 million plus variables and a €400 million buyout clause, is focused on the Under-21 European Championship. It is not ruled out that the talks could be extended, and that once preseason has begun, his future may not yet be resolved. The club does not want to lose him, and he does not want to disassociate himself from the Barça environment.

See You soon!
