The two Barça players will be called up by their countries to play in the matches of the 7th and 8th rounds of the World Cup Qualifiers.

Frenkie de Jong and Andreas Christensen will be called up to their countries during the international break. Both Barça players have received calls from Ronald Koeman and the Netherlands and Brian Riemer and Denmark, respectively, to play in the 2026 World Cup European Qualifying matches on Matchdays 7 and 8.

De Jong will face Malta with his national team on October 9 and Finland on the 12th. Christensen will face Belarus and Greece on the same days. Both teams are leaders of Group C and Group G, so they'll want to continue their presidency at the World Cup.
