The five Barcelona players have made it into the seventeen finalists.

Barça has the most finalists (5), ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea (4).

Cata Coll is among the nominees for best goalkeeper.

FIFA announced on Thursday the seventeen finalists for 'The Best' award, with FC Barcelona contributing five players to this select group. They are Aitana Bonmatí, Patri Guijarro, Ewa Pajor, Claudia Pina, and Alexia Putellas, in the order provided by the international football governing body when announcing the finalists. Voting for the nominees, which will take place via a dedicated app, begins this Thursday and will conclude on November 28.

Barça is also represented in the best goalkeeper category, with Cata Coll among the finalists, while in the best coach award they have surprisingly not included Pere Romeu, winner with his team of the national treble last season and Champions League finalist.

Starting today, coaches and captains of the women's national teams from FIFA's 211 member associations are invited to select their three candidates in each of the three women's football categories. The press and fans will also participate in the voting, and the date for announcing the winners has not yet been set.
