Better Late Than Never... My Hive Crypto Report for August 2025!

Here we are, well into the second half of September and still the days are stiflingly hot and humid as the long Hiroshima summer grinds on well past the dog days. How many more sweat-soaked days to go, I wonder, before I can feel the pleasant chill of an autumn morning as I wait for the tram... I promise I will not complain about the cold when winter sets in... Bring it on! In the meantime, thank goodness for air conditioners.

When I get home, the routine is to have a cold shower, a cold beer or spritzer, and a lengthy afternoon nap under the air-conditioner as the summer lethargy, or "natsubate" - 夏バテ - as it is called in Japanese, kicks in.

Fortunately, I don't have to go out and teach this morning, so let's see if I can muster up some energy to hand in my overdue Hive crypto report for August 2025...

One More Target Achieved

Last month I hit another of my 2025 targets, namely to have 500 shares in the LEN:LENM liquidity pool and

I was able to achieve that goal by selling off 25% of my LEO when LEO - fuelled by a large dose of hype - briefly hit an all time of over 1 HIVE! Check out my bragging blog post about that here:

By taking profits I abandoned my goal of continuing to accumulate and stake LEO in 2025. None of my yearly targets are so rigid as not to yield to circumstances. However, instead of staking LEO, I am now building up a position in the CENT:LEO liquidity pool (currently paying out 40% p/a), and am also delegating some HP to leo.voter.
