It is believed that if you have money or wealth, you have a certain kind of power as you are able to meet up with needs and wants, pursue dreams beyond one's imagination, invest in long term opportunities and do what you want to do at anytime. It will suffice to say that money is symbolic to success, to security, to happiness and prosperity.

No offense, but some people can be financially irresponsible to the point that they cant account for their finances or relate to whatever good that comes out of it. Thus, personal financial responsibility can do a whole lot of good by saving for the future and avoiding unnecessary debts.

For instance politicians when they get into power forget their mandates and manifesto, rendering the people powerless. They get greedy and get fat on the monies of the masses. These are the height of irresponsibility.
