Survey - 54% Investors in Japan Want to Invest in Crypto

In a survey conducted in Japan, over 50% of institutional investors stated they planned to make investments in the cryptocurrency space within the next three years.
The findings of the "Institutional Investor Survey on Digital Asset Investment Trends," conducted by financial services company Nomura Holdings and its digital asset division Laser Digital, were released on June 24.
The survey reached out to 547 investment managers, which included family offices, institutional investors and public service corporations.
The aim of the survey was to unveil intentions of the Japanese investment managers related to digital assets and pinpoint their challenges when considering investing in cryptocurrency.
Among the respondents, the interest in crypto investment in the coming three years was showed by 54%. Most managers said that they want to invest or they more likely want to invest. While the remaining answered that they most likely don't want to invest or don't want to invest.

Upon asking why they want to invest in digital assets, they showed that they think crypto as a feasible tool for diversifying their portfolio. Among the respondents, 60% see crypto as a diversification opportunity.
Other factors included the cryptocurrency market's round-the-clock nature, minimal correlation to other assets, high return potential, and hedge against inflation.
