In the Name of Freelancing

Hey folks.

I have joined different Facebook groups about freelance jobs but now it looks like I am fed up of these freelance job posts in Facebook groups. And that's for a reason. The reason is, most of them are scams. Well, for me, not a single freelance job post worked.

What most of these scammers do is that they would give you a Telegram profile link to message on it. After connecting with the individual, you will be asked for a few details about you, like Name, Email and Phone number etc.

I don't know why would they need these details but anyhow this doesn't end here. When you provide these details, they would then ask for your skill and send you a project to complete.

Upon completing the project, you will be asked to do signup on a given link and pay some fee in order to get your payment released.

And sometimes you may also be asked like:

I don't know if they are looking into cracking someone's bank card pin or password etc but this did look fishy to me.

Any thoughts?
