Books make for great companions, and reading is a wonderful hobby. They serve as a valuable source of knowledge, offering a plethora of things to learn. In today's fast-paced world, not many people indulge in the hobby of reading books due to busy lifestyles and the changing landscape of technology.

In the past, books were the primary source of knowledge, but nowadays, there are numerous alternatives like the internet to enhance our understanding of various subjects. During my childhood, I used to immerse myself in books, mostly exploring storybooks and, of course, comics. While comics were primarily for entertainment rather than knowledge, there is one series that stands out and that I wholeheartedly recommend to all – the Panchatantra.

Panchatantra drive form two words Panch and Tantra. Panch means five and Tantra means Principles. The series is consistent of five volume.

Mitra Bheda (Loss of Friends), Mitra Laabha (Gaining Friends), Suhrud Bheda (Causing Discord Between Friends), Vigraha (Separation and rejoining) are the five principles or practices that are portrayed by the Volume.

The origin of the book dates back to the times of king Amaraski. He wanted to teach governing skills, morals and principles to his 3 sons for which he hired Indian author and scholar, Vishnu Sharma.

As mentioned above the every volume is dedicated to the teaching the principal. The series has great learning for young age kids. This is one of the best series I recommend to all parents for their kids. Once I gifted the books to one of my friend form other country for his kids as I found this as best gift for kids.

Another book I read and recommend is "Who Moved My Cheese"
To me the recommendation comes from a training program during the early days of my job, where we were sent for a management skill training, and reading this book was an integral part of the program.

The essence of the book revolves around change and the ability to adapt to it. In the narrative, cheese symbolizes what we desire in life, and as life constantly evolves, adapting to changes becomes the right strategy. The story introduces four characters: two mice named "Sniff" and "Scurry" and two Littlepeople named "Hem" and "Haw," all in search of their own special cheese to sustain them.

They discover their favorite cheese in section C of a maze, making it a daily ritual to come and enjoy it. However, they fail to realize that the quality of the cheese in section C is diminishing each day. One day, they find section C empty with no cheese left. While the mice promptly search for a new place, Hem and Haw struggle to accept that their cheese is gone. Eventually, the mice find ample cheese in another section of the maze.

The story imparts a valuable lesson – change is inevitable in life, and being prepared for it is essential. Monitoring changes, adapting quickly, and embracing them is a sound strategy. The plan should be to anticipate and swiftly adapt to change, then relish and enjoy the new opportunities it brings.
