Meugang Atmosphere in Aceh: A Meaningful Tradition 🕌🌙

on this occasion I would like to entertain you all with some photography that I captured a few days ago while welcoming the megang procession in Aceh.
Every time we welcome Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-Adha, Aceh always has a unique atmosphere: Meugang. This hereditary tradition is so attached to the hearts of the people, not only about meat, but also about togetherness and gratitude.
In traditional markets, the aroma of spices and fresh meat mix together. Residents flock to buy meat, cook special dishes such as beulangong soup, and share with neighbors and family. This is not just a tradition, but a form of love, solidarity, and respect for those closest to us.
Meugang is a time when the kitchen is warmed by affection, and the dining table becomes a place to share stories.
