What I Intend Doing During The Holidays

Hello friends, happy Tuesday.
Feels good participating in the @hivelearners weekly prompt. This far this is week 91 edition 1.

It's 20 days until Christmas and I know many are already having the feeling of Christmas. It comes with its season called harmattan or winter. One reason why many people love Christmas is the holiday given to celebrate it. Schools, companies give holidays and even bonuses to celebrate Christmas.

I'm currently in school and according to our academic calendar our Christmas break starts from the 23rd of this month. I'm very much sure that from 19th to 20tg students will start traveling so as to beat the transportation increase and so they will travel with their family.
For me, I will be leaving my school on the 23rd or 24th . I wouldn't want to rush when other students are going because I know there will be limited cars for transportation , I prefer going when more students have traveled and I know I won't be traveling with my family to the village so there's no need for the rush.

In this Christmas period, my church always hosts the Christmas carol and I am not going to miss it for any reason. It is usually held a day before Christmas day where we come together in white and attire, sing Christmas songs and have personal presentations. It's usually fun especially when we sing the song with candles and lights off.

Every Christmas I spend it with my family in port harcourt. We hardly travel to our village for the Christmas holiday except if it's for an occasion and even if my parents were to travel, I don't like joining them. The last time I visited the village was for my elder sister's wedding.
Since I am not traveling or have plans for now, I will still be spending my Christmas holiday like other years with my parents. I would love to travel or go somewhere else this year though but not certain about that yet.

Stay at home and enjoy time with family
During Christmas my plan is to stay at home, watch movies, eat, rest and enjoy time with my family. My sister who is married will come over with her family and it's going be fun having my family around.

Decorate my house
Every Christmas my mum loves buying Christmas decorations so as to make our home take a new look. The decorations are currently at home.

Prepare meals for my family
I will also be helping in the kitchen to prepare meals. We will receive visitors and give to the neighbors. So during the Christmas period we cook more than the way we cook at other times. I will be helping my sisters in the kitchen in cooking.

Visit friends
It will be really boring staying indoors all through the Christmas and new year holidays so I will visit friends around my neighborhood. I will also have my uncle and aunties around to see them.

Resting, Watching movies
This semester in school has been stressful so I will use this holiday to rest, sleep, eat and watch movies. I want to relax before January because immediately we resume our exams.
