Proud Of My Choices No Matter How Bitter It Taste// LOH Contest #251.
Hello beautiful and elegant Ladies, it's been such a wonderful week which we are already in the second day of this week, I hope you are all doing perfectly fine? I still go by the name @graceze and for today I would be participating on the contest topic which says: Looking back over your life, what are the moments that you are proud of, where you stayed true to your core beliefs.
Some years back I was with my phone during my leisure time using Facebook, I was particularly scrolling up and down just watching short clips and seeing people's post so I came across a post from one guy like that which caught me attention and I stop scrolling to read the content very well, I saw names of some Ladies and I could recognize two names while the rest weren't familiar it was more like I just knew them by names but we aren't close.
It was at the point of seeing the names that I had to look up and see the inscriptions on it that I saw that it was names of girls that are doing hookup where I live, according to the caption they are now popular in the business that their names are casted and is used as a thing of mockery, I saw names and pictures of these Ladies and I was surprised because I never knew those ladies are into that kind of live style until that day and when people started talking about it they were giving evidence of seeing those ladies in such places.
At that point I was so proud of myself that if those kinds of Ladies are called out my name is exempted, when they are calling ladies that are messing around I can be there but none of them would say they have seen or heard anything of such about me and it makes me so proud of my background that with my parents training I never went otherwise unlike other girls who might be raised up in a Godly home but once they are outside they are totally something different.
I have also seen ladies even younger than my age that gets pregnant in their parent house because of one negligence or carelessness and because they started exploring Life even against their parents warning, and I can be there watching them drag their lives backwards with their own hands. Am not saying these Ladies are totally at fault when they get pregnant, they fault could be shared among parents, friends, family, the guy himself or any other factor but the lady is the one at the center of all these and she is the one that have the power to take that decision except in cases of rape.
But my point is if such lady is at that point what makes her give in or give out is just principles your values what you have set for yourself is what would move you, so I would say in areas like this i by the grace and help of God have stayed true to my keeping myself until marriage, it is never easy with how people are living their lives these days and how people are living around me I would say it's just the grace of God that has been keeping me.
I have so many instances where I can say I have stayed true to my core beliefs and through that I am proud of myself but that would be for another day, thank you all for your time I hope it was well spent.

I admire your staunch stand for abstinence @graceze. Such persons that do not cave into social and peer pressure in our so called sexual revolution that has been touted a social panacea but in reality a moral trap that big corporations make money from. That says a lot about your character.

I couldn’t help smiling reading this. That moment when you scrolled past a post and felt quietly proud not loud, not bragging but truly at peace with the choices you have made and the values you hold, that’s so powerful. Your steadfastness, the way you honor yourself and your upbringing even when things around you shift, it speaks volumes. Not everyone can stand firm when the world is changing but there you are, calm in your convictions. It is not flashy but it is real strength. I see that strength and it resonates deeply.
