A Lesson In Awareness>> Hive-Reachout Weekly Prompt 59.

Truly we don't learn everything in school, my own life statistics is an example that most things I know are from life experiences and being in a different environment like this has exposed me to different things that I never knew existed, just a little introduction before we go further I would like to bring to your notice that we are unto a new month and since this is my first post here, this is me saying Happy New Month Family and for this week I would be participating on the contest topic unforgettable experience.

I never knew there is a type of water that if one consumes it would change the colour of their teeth to any other color other than white infact the color I see here mostly in people's teeth is brown, I started a research on why some students teeth was colored and from where I am coming from to see someone teeth colored is to mean that the person's teeth is like that due to dirt or any other thing causes but coming here I found out that these set of people are from Langtang and they have a history behind why they have a colored teeth that does not seem pleasant to the eyes of men.

The water there in Langtang is salty and due to that their teeth gets colored in the process of their consumption, and their is no other water source apart from the one that they all drink from like it's coming from one source so they actually have no other options. All my life I have never been told or even heard that such thing exists or such places exists, if I were to visit that kind of places I too would result in having such kind of teeth, so discovering that was a big blow to me and it made me very conscious of what I consume especially in environment where is new to me.

I was even discussing with one of my friend who happens to be from that place but resides in Abuja eventually school brought her down to Pankshin, she said when ever her mom took them home to go for visits they always trek very far to go and get bag of pure water for their consumption, they avoid taking that water directly to their mouth except when they use it to cook or do any other thing, and I was like it is because your mom is conscious of this kind environment and even though you did not grow up their she now is trying to prevent such from happening to you, and am sure that the coloring of the teeth is not the only side effect that kind of water can give to a person.

My point here is in the four walls of a classroom we were not taught about these but out of the experiences of life I have learnt about it and it is never leaving my mind always sticking upstairs. It is a great privilege to be doing this with you I hope that after reading this write-up you would be more conscious than I am about some certain things.
