1/🧵 An Afternoon That Feels Like Peace

For me, some afternoon always comes when I feel like I have the whole world at my back, especially during this period when, at intervals, I always have one of two messages to respond to, calls to pick up, people knocking at the gate maybe to fetch water or come to deliver something, and bills waiting. But deep down in my heart, and like I always say to some of my guys, what I like might not be what you like, so in this instance my own definition of a perfect afternoon might look different from the usual.

Like, I have been prioritizing my inner peace recently; for me, a perfect afternoon will begin with something very peaceful and quiet. Maybe at the back of one of the trees in my compound where the breeze is blowing softly and cool and no one will be there to distract me. Though the sun is shining now and everything is hot over here, where it was just mentioned, there are some shades and everywhere is calm. Just imagine during this hot weather, I am there with a cup of cold tea in my hand to cool down my inner body system while the natural breeze cools down my outer body. No rush,
