Today I want to tell you a little bit about one of the most interesting places in Villa de Leyva, since we can see how it is part of its non-tourist culture, and that to me personally makes it become something touristy, because I understand that it is not made up to be able to enamor the people who are going to be for 1 or 2 days there.

This place is called "Plaza de mercado" and is a place that brings together farmers and artisans with those interested in buying their products or crops.

We could ask ourselves about what makes this place interesting, and here I can tell you that we can see how many of the restaurants get the inputs to be able to give us that quality food that we can find in Villa de Leyva, as well as we can get fresh fruits and vegetables.

I did not know that this place existed until I asked the Host that I was having through Airbnb about some place to have breakfast and she told us that there was a recommended bakery or that we could go to the market square, which was 30 minutes walking, to which we decided to go to that market square to taste a typical dish of the area and made by people who only want to give a good taste and not a package made for tourists.

The road to this place is a little steep, and we can go easily if we leave the central square and start walking towards the mountain, where we will see that there are many people walking, to be able to find first a parking lot and then the stores that sell fruits and vegetables.

On the left side we will be able to see the different restaurants made with easy construction materials since it is a place that is not open 24 hours a day.

I want to tell you that if you are people interested in seeing how is the typical life of those people who live in certain places, it is important that we see what they do, and a market place is something that may not attract many people, but it is certainly a place where we could find interesting pieces of the culture we are visiting.

Buenas tardes Hivers, espero que estén teniendo un excelente día.

Hoy les quiero no hablar un poco de uno de los lugares más interesantes en Villa de Leyva, dado que podemos ver cómo es parte de su cultura no turística, y que a mí personalmente hace que se convierta en algo turístico, porque entiendo que no está maquillado para poder enamorar a las personas que van a estar por 1 o 2 días ahí.

Este lugar se llama "Plaza de mercado" y es un lugar que reúne a agricultores y artesanos con aquellas personas interesadas en comprar sus productos o cosechas.

Nos podríamos preguntar sobre que hace que este lugar sea interesante, y aquí les puedo decir que podemos ver cómo muchos de los restaurantes consiguen los insumos para poder darnos aquella comida de calidad que podemos encontrar en Villa de Leyva, como también que nosotros podemos conseguir frutas y vegetales frescos.

Yo no sabía que existía este lugar hasta que le pregunté a la Host que estaba teniendo por Airbnb sobre algún lugar para desayunar y nos dijo que había una panadería recomendada o que podríamos ir a la plaza de mercado, que estaba a 30 minutos caminando, a lo cual decidimos ir a esa plaza de mercado para degustar un plato típico de la zona y hecho por personas que solo quieren dar un buen sabor y no un paquete hecho para turistas.

El camino hacia ese lugar es un poco empinado, pudiendo ir con facilidad si salimos de la plaza central y comenzamos a caminar hacia la montaña, a donde veremos qué hay muchas personas caminando, para poder encontrar en primer lugar un estacionamiento y luego los locales que venden frutas y vegetales.

Al lado izquierdo podremos ver los diferentes restaurantes hechos con materiales de fácil construcción ya que es un lugar que no está abierto las 24 horas.

Quiero decirles que si son personas interesadas en ver cómo es la vida típica de aquellas personas que viven en ciertos lugares, es importante que veamos que hacen ellos, y una plaza de mercado es algo que puede no atraer a muchas personas, pero sin duda es un lugar donde podríamos encontrar piezas interesantes de la cultura que estamos visitando.
