Umbrella with rain of hearts: tutorial #DIY / Paraguas con lluvia de corazones: tutorial (ESP-ENG)

Espero que se encuentren bien y felices. Hace unos días una amiga le iba a hacer una sesión de fotos a su hija por su cumpleaños. Para esto, la ayudé buscando referencias en pinterest sobre qué podía hacer para que fueran diferentes y tuvieran un elemento diferenciador a las típicas fotos tipo estudio. Encontré una foto de una niña con un paraguas transparente al que le colgaban corazones como si fuera una lluvia. Nos encantó la idea, pero no teníamos paraguas y la sesión era al día siguiente.

De la nada encontramos un paraguas ya en la tarde, así que en la noche empezamos con este tutorial entre amigas, así que trabajamos con lo que tenía en casa. Les cuento como fue el proceso:

MATERIALES

Paraguas
Cartulinas de colores
Lápiz
Hoja de reciclaje
Tijeras
Nailon o hilo transparente
Pistola de silicone

PASO A PASO

PASO 1

Primero, mi amiga empezó a sacar el molde mientras yo buscaba las cartulinas. Para practicidad lo calqueo desde la pantalla de la PC (cero recomendado porque puede dañar la pantalla, pero no me dio chance de ayudarla).

PASO 2

Con el molde listo, lo traspasamos a las cartulinas. Usamos cartulinas de 160gr y de un block de construcción que tenía guardado. Como la niña se iba a vestir de negro, blanco y fucsia, y el paragua era morado, usamos una gama de colores entre rosa, varios tonos de morado y toques de amarillo, verde manzada y azul cielo. Mientras ella marcaba, yo cortaba los corazones. Calculamos que necesitaríamos unos 60 corazones (esto tomando en cuenta la altura de la niña y que unas tiras serían largas, otras medias y unas cortas). Se nos fue la luz en este proceso, pero eso no nos detuvo, sacamos velas, puse las linternas de los teléfonos y continuamos cortando.

PASO 3

Con los corazones recortados, era hora de empezar a armar. Para esto cortamos tiras de nailon o hilo transparente de 100 cm, 70 cm y 50 cm hasta reunir 8 hilos (que era la cantidad de puntas que tenía el paraguas). Pusimos a calentar la pistola de silicone y empezamos a pegar de la siguiente manera:

A cada tira le dejábamos unos 15 cm de espacio antes de poner el primer corazón. Este espacio sería para poder amarrarlo al paraguas. Luego dejamos un espacio de unos 15 cm entre corazones. Al final cada tira tenía entre 5 a 7 corazones.

Tuvimos que pegar todas las tiras y luego ir a medirlas con la niña usando el paraguas (en ese momento aprovechamos de identificar dónde iba cada tira para que fuera más fácil armarlo). Esto nos sirvió para ajustar, tuvimos que cortar otros 6 corazones para añadirlos.

Este es un tutorial muy sencillo pero que sinceramente fue un plus en las fotos. Es increíble como un elemento tan sencillo convierte las fotos en algo tan mágico. Claro, contando con un buen fotógrafo. Al día siguiente tuvimos la sesión de fotos y fue un éxito. Todas quedamos contentas con los resultados y las fotos quedaron preciosas. Sinceramente me gusta ayudar en este tipo de cosas.

I hope you are well and happy. A few days ago a friend of mine was going to do a photo shoot for her daughter for her birthday. For this, I helped her looking for references on pinterest about what she could do to make them different and have a differentiating element to the typical studio type photos. I found a photo of a little girl with a clear umbrella with hearts hanging from it like rain. We loved the idea, but we didn't have an umbrella and the session was the next day.

Out of nowhere we found an umbrella already in the afternoon, so in the evening we started with this tutorial among friends, so we worked with what we had at home. I'll tell you how the process went:

MATERIALS

Umbrellas
Colored cardboard
Pencil
Recycling sheet
Scissors
Nylon or transparent thread
Silicone gun

STEP BY STEP

STEP 1

First, my friend started to take out the mold while I was looking for the cardstock. For practicality I traced it from the PC screen (not recommended because it can damage the screen, but she didn't give me a chance to help her).

STEP 2

With the mold ready, we transfer it to the cardboard. We used 160gr cardboard and a construction block I had saved. Since the girl was going to wear black, white and fuchsia, and the umbrella was purple, we used a range of colors between pink, various shades of purple and touches of yellow, apple green and sky blue. While she marked, I cut out the hearts. We calculated that we would need about 60 hearts (this taking into account the girl's height and that some strips would be long, some medium and some short). The lights went out during this process, but that didn't stop us, we got out candles, I put the flashlights on the phones and we continued cutting.

STEP 3

With the hearts cut out, it was time to start assembling. For this we cut strips of nylon or transparent thread of 100 cm, 70 cm and 50 cm to gather 8 threads (which was the amount of tips that the umbrella had). We heated the silicone gun and started gluing in the following way:

We left about 15 cm of space on each strip before putting the first heart. This space would be to be able to tie it to the umbrella. Then we left a space of about 15 cm between hearts. At the end each strip had between 5 to 7 hearts.

We had to glue all the strips together and then measure them with the girl using the umbrella (at that moment we took the opportunity to identify where each strip would go so it would be easier to put it together). This helped us to adjust, we had to cut another 6 hearts to add.

This is a very simple tutorial but it was honestly a plus in the photos. It's amazing how such a simple element turns the photos into something so magical. Of course, with a good photographer. The next day we had the photo session and it was a success. We were all happy with the results and the photos were beautiful. I sincerely like to help in this kind of things.
