¡Hola hivers!💜

Espero que se encuentren bien y felices. El tema de esta semana es interesante, ya que el proceso de modelado es algo a tomar en cuenta tanto para nuestros talentos como para nuestra vida. De pequeños nos preguntan qué queremos ser de grandes y cuando respondemos siempre tenemos un modelo a seguir, alguien que nos inspira.

Cuando empece mi emprendimiento y estaba creando lo que era Poeticabyg, mi hermano me aconsejó que buscara una marca o empresa que se pareciera a lo que considerara Poética debía llegar a ser. Así que luego de investigar mucho, busqué algunas tiendas y dije que así quería que fuera “Poética de grande”. Porque Poética era como un niño, estaba naciendo y tenía que cuidarla hasta que fuera grande.

Cuando la visión de Poética empezó a cambiar e inicié con los talleres, conseguí la Tipoteca. Paula, la creadora de Tipoteca, es artista de lettering, dicta talleres, ha trabajado con marca grandes interviniendo sus productos usando lettering, tiene un taller precioso y me encanta su estilo. Paula y Tipoteca son lo que quiero que Poética y yo seamos de grandes. Son la inspiración, pero también son el recordatorio de que si ella pudo lograrlo, yo también.

Porque ellas son mi modelo a seguir, y esto no quiere decir que vaya a copiar sus pasos exactos, porque Poética y yo tenemos nuestros estilos propios y unas metas que han ido cambiando, es una fuente de inspiración. Siempre me gusta ver sus estados, darle likes pero sobre todo aprender de su técnica y en qué innova (para mi el aprendizaje es muy visual).

Ella y otras artistas de lettering, me ayudan a tener nuevas perspectivas y a reinventarme. Porque si bien deseo grandes cosas para Poética, también quiero ser una referencia en mi ciudad. Que los niños y adultos que asisten a mis talleres para aprender lettering digan “quiero dibujar como lo hace Genesis”. Yo también quiero ser un modelo para otro y dejar así parte de mis conocimientos y un legado hermoso al enseñarle a alguien más lo que me apasiona.

I hope you are well and happy. This week's topic is an interesting one, as the process of modeling is something to take into account for both our talents and our lives. When we are little we are asked what we want to be when we grow up and when we answer we always have a role model, someone who inspires us.

When I started my entrepreneurship and was creating what Poeticabyg was, my brother advised me to look for a brand or company that resembled what I thought Poetic should become. So after doing a lot of research, I looked at a few stores and said that's what I wanted “Poetic as a child” to be like. Because Poética was like a child, it was being born and I had to take care of it until it was big.

When the vision of Poética started to change and I started with the workshops, I got the Tipoteca. Paula, the creator of Tipoteca, is a lettering artist, she teaches workshops, she has worked with big brands intervening their products using lettering, she has a beautiful workshop and I love her style. Paula and Tipoteca are what I want Poética and I to be when we grow up. They are inspiration, but they are also a reminder that if she could do it, I can do it too.

Because they are my role model, and this doesn't mean that I'm going to copy their exact steps, because Poética and I have our own styles and goals that have been changing, it's a source of inspiration. I always like to see her statuses, give her likes but above all learn from her technique and what she innovates in (for me learning is very visual).

She and other lettering artists, help me to have new perspectives and reinvent myself. Because while I want great things for Poética, I also want to be a reference in my city. That children and adults who attend my workshops to learn lettering say “I want to draw like Genesis does”. I also want to be a model for others and thus leave part of my knowledge and a beautiful legacy by teaching someone else what I am passionate about.
