Two days before there was bog festival of India known as Janmastami. I would like to share about how janmashtmi is celebrated in my house. Firstly what does Janmashtami Stands 'Janma' literally refers to 'birth' and 'ashtami' means the 'eighth tithi' when the eighth or ashtam avatar of Lord Vishnu, Krishna, took the birth, Krishna is the most powerful incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is a joyful festival for the Hindus. It is the Birthday Celebration of Lord Krishna. Janmashtami is a gala festival to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna.

Janmashtami comes with numerous rituals that vary from region to region or community to community within country India. Everyone's celebration is different, their rituals are different. Today I will tell you my way of how we celebrate Janmashtami.We have a lot of excitement about Janmashtami. We decorate our houses from outside with lights and flowers. Clean our house temples, all the idols in the temple. we hear the sound of bells and mantras the whole day. In my house everyone keep fast for whole day and there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm in the house. We are as excited for Lord Krishna's birthday as a mother is to celebrate her children's birthday. We are as excited for Lord Krishna's birthday as a mother is to celebrate her children's birthday.

This time I decorated my temple with fresh marigold flowers. Every time we want to decorate the temple in different ways. But this time we thought why not decorate with fresh flowers, we have never done this before.

It does not happen in my city but Dahi Handi is organized at many places. Where many people form a pyramid and the pot at the top is tight, break it. As soon as a pot is broken, Makkhan (butter) falls out of it and it is a blessing for all of us.The activity happened because it was Lord Krishna's favorite activity.

Exactly 12:00 our beloved Lord Krishna is born in Cucumber,as per the mythology Cucumber with a stem resembles the umbilical cord and is symbolic of Lord Krishna's umbilical cord attached to his mother Devaki when he was born.Our baby Krishna who is cradled in a beautifully decorated swing

In many family, everyone observe a day-long fast, perform special prayers, and stay awake until midnight, the time of Krishna's birth.
When Lord Krishna is born and all the rituals of the house are done. After that all of us members break our fast by eating the Prasad.

All the ladies of the house together make many sweets and prepare different types of Barfi. Most Important Makkhan (butter) is definitely made in every house, as Lord Krishna is also called the Makkan Chor (butter thief). He liked makkhan so much

This is my dear Radhe Krishna, my dear Nieces.In most of the houses in India, children become Krishna through which they understand the importance of Janmashtami and they are very excited about how the festival of Janmashtami is celebrated.

I am happy in every Festival, it brings all our family members together and a happy atmosphere is created in the house,That's the fun of it. This is the way of enjoyment in the festival.
