Another 1,000 HIVE Powered Up for HPUD. My First PUM Badge Too...
September came, and with it, the summer is over in most places in the world. And with that vacations are over, children go to school, adults to work, and generally, everyone takes their place back into the matrix, whatever that may be. Or not?
If you think about it, Hive and Web3 are or should be a sort of an alternative matrix to the fiat one, with points of contact here and there and each matrix (fiat and Web3) with its own reality and uncorrelated developments, plus the inherent interconnections that allow the two worlds to interact and maybe force each other to improve.
Unfortunately, what we have seen lately are the initial steps taken by the mature and more established matrix to swallow the newer and still "kind of" virgin one. And the virgin wants it, thinking it has something to gain from the transfer... But we all know you can only lose virginity once. Too bad for the young matrix? Or congratulations?
Anyway... let's stop with the metaphors already and move on to the concrete.
The first of the month means Hive Power Up Day. As every month, I added another 1,000 HIVE to my HIVE Power today and it feels great to be able to keep going with these monthly power-ups.
That pushed my total HP to 34,394, which is pretty good thinking of where I started the year (a little over 25k).
It is also the first time I pursued and unlocked the PUM badge for August:
I am interested in this badge for one reason and one alone: the consistency it requires, at least in my case, to power up at least 1 HIVE daily for the whole month, and not power down anything. So I will keep going with it.

Ah, that must be frustrating! Sorry for whoever missed it on the last day. Luckily, I was very consistent with this and didn't skip any day. I had an issue one day when I almost missed it. Still don't know why I didn't power up earlier, but caught it before midnight.
Saved by the bell! I remember what happened to me last month when I was on the road... It was extremely hard to focus and to NOT forget... lol
Yeah, I can imagine it wasn't easy at all. So far it was easy for me because I could focus on it. Next month we will probably have workers all around the house and it won't be as easy. Maybe toward the end of the year, we'll take a short vacation too and that will be another challenge to the consistency.

I have actually powered up at least one hive throughout the month, I didn't know there was a badge for this, it's proof of die-hard consistency. Congratulations on the 1k Hive power, who knows, might end the year in 40k

Thanks! I didn't think I could get the PUM badge because I am in continuous power down mode on my posting account. I realized I could get it on my staking account. The reason I want this badge is because it means consistency over time and I love that kind of badges, or rather why they were obtained, not the badge itself.

My preferred way to avoid being swallowed by the establishment is to create parallel system such as direct cryptocurrency payments. I want to try my best (which isn't much) to make sure I don't have fiat or banks or even government involved.
