It's Travel O'Clock
Traveling is usually interesting and fun, it's a wonderful and engaging experience for one. When you travel to different places, you get to meet different people with different cultural backgrounds and languages, it is usually also a means of learning new things. Every place visited offers you new experiences, one that cannot be forgotten in a hurry or traded for anything.
I have always loved the idea of traveling, especially going on road trips and the likes, getting to see the sights along the way.
As much as I enjoy flying, I think I prefer it just for convenience, the real fun when traveling is seen more when one travels by road, you get to see major landmarks, roads, and different food as you progress on your journey.
So for me, if time and other factors aren't to be considered, I'd choose to travel conveniently on the road, mark my words conveniently, where I have my space and other necessities to myself.
When you travel, you get to try out new food that ordinarily you wouldn't have had or even seen, but traveling gives you the opportunity to have a taste of some delicacies that you're not familiar with.
I remember during my undergraduate days in my final year, I had to travel to the Western part of Nigeria Oyo state to be precise, this was actually my first time visiting that region of my country, and I got a taste of their local delicacies like Amala and Ewedu and also Gbegiri, these were what I was able to take although there were other options.
One thing about traveling is that it's not just about the travel, you have to also think about where to stay, how much the trip would cost, accommodation, mobility, feeding and so many factors that might just hinder you from traveling, especially in this part of the world where the prices of things are skyrocketing. I have learned that whatever the human mind is set to do, with determination, planning, and other factors, it can be achieved.
What I have decided to do now is to plan and set aside some funds for my traveling, since I'm not at that point of my life where I can just say, I want to go on vacation today and I just immediately hop on the next available flight, while we're aiming for such a time, I can also make do with what I have now, tweak some things around and have a little vacation once in a while, this life is to be lived and not for only bills.
Today I went for a boat launch, water transportation hasn't really been my biggest choice for traveling, but after today's event, I'm beginning to think about and also consider it, it is also a nice means of transportation, with the whole calm and serene atmosphere all around, except obviously in the case of a storm, but that doesn't happen all the time.
What traveling means do you prefer? As for me, it's by road especially when time isn't a factor to be considered, more like when I'm not really in a hurry, count me in, Aside from that, I'm off.

I also prefer traveling by road but that only remains because I haven’t tried other transportation alternatives. When that happens, I will make my decision then… hehehe
😂
So we wait till then before you decide.
Travellinh by road is only exciting because of the differdnt things you get to see along the way, althoigh it can be very exhausting too. The other means of transport are equally fun.
Yeah it can be exhausting sometimes, I agree.
This is a really interesting take. I'm also a big fan of traveling but like you mentioned, the cost of traveling is becoming incredibly high. That exact reason has also made me conscious of how I engage in traveling. At the moment, I only travel when it's necessary to do so. If not, I just sit back and enjoy the comfort of my current environment. Hehe.
Being on a boat is something I haven't experienced although I'm looking forward to a chance of experiencing that this year's December period.
You should give it a try, then you can say if it's something you like or not.
