Knitting Hats
(Edited)

I have been busy sewing for several weddings, but this week I took a break with some relaxing knitting. I was traveling, so hats were a good portable project.
The first hat is for my youngest granddaughter. K1P1 ribbing, then stockinette stitch topped by a little I-cord flourish.
That done, I took some tweedy worsted yarn to make a simple tam. The band is easy: knit I-cord until band fits around my head. Then join the ends and pick up stitches for the body of the tam.

I plan to make a few more hats, trying out different techniques. Then I will switch to socks, my favorite thing to knit.
Happy Needlework Monday.
