Can you be Baptized Twice?:A Reflection on Brother Eli Sariano teaching

There is a reflection on the video by Brother Eli Sariano on baptism that I found very thought provoking. The way he explained this important sacrament in so many ways was really helpful to me.

The first thing Brother Eli said in the video was that baptism is much more than just an ordinary ritual; it is about dying to sin and being raised up again as new creatures, through complete immersion into water. Substantially, symbolize this act in reality. For me, his understanding of what baptism actually meant was excellent.

After that, he considered a matter which had bothered me for some time: who has the right to baptize? Using Matthew 28 carefully, Brother Eli convincingly argued that Jesus had reserved this duty exclusively for His disciples and consequently those who were capable of teaching all things He commanded. This pointed out clearly that not every other person is allowed to perform baptisms.

Brother Eli then discussed how any form of baptism carried out under man-made doctrines or by someone who does not have full knowledge of Christ’s teachings would be null before God. From Mark 7, he called them “fake” baptisms. This made me think deeply about my own baptism if it was genuine or not.

Brother Eli, throughout his teaching, always emphasized the significance of getting baptized in the right church; a church that teaches all of Jesus’ message as it is revealed in the Bible. He wants believers to ensure we receive baptism from someone with true God’s authority.

Finally, Brother Eli urged everyone to look into themselves and get re-baptized if necessary so as to have a genuine baptism taught by Christ. His charge on ensuring our baptisms are just right really hit home for me. I cannot afford even the slightest error regarding my baptism before God.

I recommend you to listen to the full teaching of Brother Eli Sariano from the YouTube video:

Baptizing twice is not allowed by the bible, there is only one true baptism, that baptism is conducted in the true church of God in the bible. Any baptism conducted outside the true doctrine is false

Thanks be to God brother @fexonice
