Many begin on YouTube as a hobby. The more it's done, the more enjoyment builds. As enjoyment grows, activity increases. It can reach a point where nothing else seems possible. Long-term success on YouTube is extremely difficult.

Sustainability beyond 10+ years is uncertain
Except when making kids' content that can be outsourced without viewers noticing...
Consistent effort is required week after week
