If you are hearing every day and not growing it signifies slowness stagnation, delay, no progress, because hearing won't do you any good if you don't practice it.

A child that you kept on giving advice day by day and he or she kept on doing what they like without heading to your advice doesn't mean the person is growing, the person is limited and won't go far.

Good listeners should show all working by putting efforts that's also how the word of God is, we should listen to the word and do the word.
