No we are not financially responsible to others but we owe people kindness in any little way you can just help don't say this is not your friend or your Love one or siblings, if you have give and show kindness but if you don't have no one will blame you.

Just as little as you have give, if you don't have give your prayers because I believe that it can go a long way to help people, your encouragement, word of hope, being caring and kind.
