The Forge Review : A Journey of Transformation and Redemption

Hello, Hivians and CineTV community. Happy Sunday. Today was a great day, and since it's Sunday, it's a tradition in my family to watch a gospel movie. There is a film I watched with my parent and siblings some sunday back, and the truth is, I have written so many review on different action and romantic movies but I have never written one on any of the movie that spoke life to me, which is why I will be writing on the movie titled

The Forge.

"The Forge" (2024) is a thought-provoking movie that explores crucial themes, including the importance of being closer to God, discipleship, and personal growth. One of the reasons I love this movie is because it teaches. You know how you watch a lot of movies and the truth is that, at the ending of the movie, the only thing you got from the movie is just excitement and fun to watch but when you are asked, "What did you learn or gain from the movie?" there is nothing you can say but The Forge is not like that.

The Storyline.

The story is about a young man. This young man was the only son of his mother. She was a single mother not because her husband died but because he went to buy milk and never returned. The young man's mother was always working and doing her best to take care of all the responsibilities at home. This young man is of age to take responsibility for himself and some of the things in the house, but he wasn't ready to take responsibility. All he wanted to do was hang out with his friends to play basketball or play video games all day.

This young man's mom has always told him to go get a job but he didn't. She tried taking him to church but he always refused; all she could do was pray for him.

The story went on when this young man decided to search for a job and he met the person who would change his life forever. This movie has so many themes that include

  • Responsibility and Maturity
  • Mentorship and Discipleship
  • Forgiveness and Freedom
  • Prayer and Faith.
  • Personal Growth and Transformation

The movie ministers to people in several ways: it teaches encouraging spiritual growth, it provides role models, and the movie tackles real-life issues, such as aimlessness, forgiveness, and responsibility, making it relatable and impactful. It also shows the value of community and mentorship in helping individuals grow and overcome challenges.

In conclusion, it is a movie that everyone should watch, or a family can all watch together, because it teaches values that parents would love to see in their children. I would recommend this movie to any parent, and I always play it for kids who come visiting at my parents' place. I would rate it 9.5/10.

Thanks for reading. My name is Fashtioluwa
