Lessons And Experiences After Onboarding Many People On Hive.
One of the joy of onboarding a user on hive is for them to understand everything you have said to them and they use that knowledge properly. I’m the kind of guy that loves helping people the way I can, I prefer teaching them now to fish than giving them fish all the time. My experience when it comes to onboarding people on Hive and the lesson I have learnt will be explained now.

Like I said, I’m the kind of guy that always like to share the idea of what I’m doing with people if it means it will change their life in one way or the other. On this faithful day, blessing who had always ask me for money and always get it believe I’m into internet fund. I made her understand that the money I earn is earned in a hard way and through consistency, I told her how much I earn per post and the amount earned got her attention.
She begged me for days to teach her and put her through. I kept telling her “It’s not easy o, it’s not for the faint minded people, you have to write everyday and interact” which she said she was up to the task. I took a Saturday to explain everything about Hive to her. In fact, I did that with book and pen. We spent more than 2hours together explaining and learning what it entails to be on Hive.
After the explanation was over, I opened an account for her, made sure she wrote her keys down. It was saved offline and online. I helped her with her introduction post, things she should know about introduction post and the right community to submit her post. She did it all and the next day, she called me to express her joy when her post got $25.
She wanted to withdraw the $25 immediately and at that point I became stressed. She kept asking me how she will withdraw the reward given to her. What I already explained to her, the 7days principle and the 50/50 divisions. I had to explain again to her, she waited for 7days without writing just to take out the $25. I didn’t check up on her because I believe my explanation was enough for her to understand consistency.
After 7days, she saw that the amount in her wallet for liquidation was not up to $10 and that was where the issue started again. I had to explain and explain. She promised to join prompt and write but after 1 month of forced consistency she stopped. This has happened 3times and it was then I gave up the idea of onboarding anyhow person into Hive.
I have learnt that it not everyone that have the zeal or have what it takes to be on Hive, sometimes the reward are attractive to them but do they have the determination other people who are making it have. I have stopped onboarding people unless I see the desperation and seriousness in them before I will give it a thought and after giving it a thought, we would enter a one year oath and make a contract of seriousness before I will onboard them.
It’s improper for me to take my time, the time I’m supposed to use to engage or write, I will use it to teach and explain to a person and they give up after a month. I can even arrest the person. Now I understand why teachers and parent are always angry when we don’t know our book or do our assignments.
This is what I have to say, thanks for reading. Have a great day .

She missed, big time!
She earned $25 on first post and that didn't give her the push to carry on.
I didn't earn up to $3 on my first post sef🤣.
It's the oath for me!🤣
What makes you think oath is going work? Africans know how to neutralize oath.
🤣🤣
I will use the three religions kinda oath for this o
And for real she had a very big potential
From 25 reputation she went up to 51 in one day and see
Waste
If I could get 10 from that reputation
Meddddd! See waste of shining luck. I pity for her
Be like that account get grace like mummy zee
I have had a similar experience as well and it's very frustrating when you take out time to properly explain how Hive works only for the person to give up within a week. Some even give up before writing their introduction post
I read your post
You have tried so much
I wouldn’t put my number on a public platform
But it’s sad to see people quit without trying
Putting my number on nairaland was truly a mistake and I had peace of mind when I eventually removed it
😂😂😂
I can understand
Knowing that a person is only all about the rewards they'll get, I automatically disqualify them from onboarding. I have one that is genuinely interested in growing as a writer, and now she's doing okay as per she's not only concerned about the income.
You'll have more people come over to ask about Hive. With a little discernment, you'll know how to proceed.
Yeah
You just have to sort for those with the protential to grow and that’s what’s I did with rare-gem and I can see she’s doing so well now
