ROUND 9// MY FAVOURITE PERSON
When I was coming up as a young man, my favourite had been my parents. They are epitome of humility and readable letters for me however as time progresses, other things started metamorphosing and behold I am a married man now blessed with two wonderful kids. It's been a great journey anyway inspite of the perils along the way but yet God proved himself faithful all the way.
One of the critical thing I had to sought out with is the issue of marriage. I never took it for granted even a second because the entirety of life hinges around. Someone ever said if you don't want to make heaven is simple, kindly marry the wrong person. You'll begin to experience hell here before you transit beyond. Whenever I hear these kind of words from elders, it keeps me in a good state of thought and thorough meditation. Thank God I can boldly say I made one of the best choice of my life. I have seen several marriages that ended up in jeopardy and many crashed just within the moment they were pronounced husband and wife. You are the reflection of the kind of decision you made hence guy you have to be calm and engage God in every helm of affairs of this an unending journey.
It was marriage that really opened my eyes to the strata of life and build me to where I am. Anytime I have the opportunity to share or to make any input on the kind of person I like or favourite like this topic for round 9 engagement, the very first thing that comes to my mind is my wife. In this post, I would like to share why I chose my wife as my favourite person compared to other personalities. Remember there could be other persons but for my wife hmmm is what I highly esteemed as an embodiment of God's treasures gifted to a young man like me.
It will interest you to know that my wife hails from the eastern part of Nigeria whereas I probate from the middle belt of the same country. This is the genesis of everything and transformation in my life. I first sighted her in far north when I went for my compulsory youth service fortunately she graduated from one of the famous universities from that axis. Thank God for Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship where I served as a state executive. That was our meeting point...shiiii don't ask me further questions!!! Hahahah.
Truth be told since I met her and proposed to marry her, a lot of things changed over my life. For instance, my financial life increased positively and my spiritual life as well was growing from strength to strength.
Why is my wife favourite? Hmmm she understands me so much and ready to journey with me inspite of my weaknesses she sees strength instead. She has been a source of encouragement to my life even when I felt like giving up in pursuance of destiny. Her words inspires me to soar higher and never remain at the base. My wife is my favourite because she deliberately insisted over certain mannerisms over my life that I found it difficult to let go. She patiently worked on me and today I am a better person that why I regard her high.
There are things that I never knew i could achieve within a short period of time like this but marrying my wife pushed me step out and confront my fears hmmm today at least I can confidently stand to address people despite their numbers.
I love and cherish my wife. She remains my favourite person and I am happy to share little about her impact and influence over my life. Thanks.
