LOVE WITHOUT LIMITATIONS

Love is not just a word. Anytime I have the opportunity to share about love I don't always like to delve in to mere theories instead I ensured that I share a reality. I have spent more three decades now on earth very soon, I will hit four decades however my concept about love keeps illuminating in another dimension. I have felt different dimensions of love and I have come to say love is unconditional.

As a young growing up person in the Christian faith, I have been shown a dimension of love that can't easily be eradicated in my life. I knew where and how my life has been when I never knew about the light of God. It was someone that decided to share with me the love of Christ. He showed me love and paid some of my bills. He gave me food and decided to help me in my academic journey. I couldn't hesitate instead I believed him completely because of the demonstration of love shown.

In this post, I intend to share what unconditional love means and what are the indicators or signs of unconditional love. I had the opportunity to visit a community early this year. I never knew about this community in my entire life neither do I have anything in common without. It was just God that led me and my team members to reach out to them.

They have a lot of challenges and no any reasonable government facility could be seen. We noticed that their water is very bad. In fact, they had to travel miles before they could access a good portable water for drinking and other domestic work. We were able to identify their need too in the area of education. The only school they had couldn't be sustained and the children were left out in the cold hands of no one to guide them. When we stumbled there, our hearts became so affectionate to the entire community and we started brainstorming so that we can have direction on what to do.

In the whole, we decided to focus on the area of school. Early this year, we were able to establish a nursery school that has a population of over 40 children. The parents and the entire community are shocked at our kind of passion and heart of love towards them despite the fact that we have never known elsewhere before. The children started responding very well and presently they could speak English a little. Their dressing pattern too was affected positively. Sometimes we used to buy freebies and other things to give the children. This fosters love and gives a vivid description of what an unconditional love is.

There are so many signs however I will only emphasize on the ones that are very important to me.

• Unconditional love always accepts one's fault. It doesn't look or consider the weakness of one neither does it laugh when some one falls. From the holy scriptures it's written that love covers multiple of wrongs or sins. We saw beyond the limitations of that community and the love of God compelled us to showcase a fresh dimension of love to them.
• Unconditional love is sacrificial. There is no substitute for a genuine love without sacrifice. In fact the major ingredient as far as I'm concerned is sacrifice. When you love someone or a community, you would do all you could to sustain the relationship.
• Unconditional love endures all things unbiasedly without any prejudice.
• Unconditional love is patience
• Unconditional love makes attempts to give all.
• Unconditional love doesn't center on one's self alone but seeks for the progress of others.

The kind of love that has no limitations is what I called unconditional love.
